In order to continue promoting energy transition, strengthening and expanding its Energy Solutions business line, Abastible became a majority shareholder in RODA Energía, acquiring 70% of the company, which specializes in energy sustainability services.

“This acquisition will allow us to further strengthen the value proposition to our customers, helping them to reduce costs, meet environmental goals and solve energy problems in their production processes,” said Ignacio Mackenna, Abastible’s Commercial Manager for Bulk and Energy Solutions.

With extensive experience in the implementation of energy efficiency projects for the public and private sector, RODA Energía was born in 2011, quickly positioning itself as a green and innovative energy consultancy that supports the sustainable development of companies by providing multiple services including intelligent energy management, project implementation or certification and traceability of emissions.

The agreement was sealed between Abastible’s Chief Executive Officer, Joaquín Cruz, and Roda’s Chief Executive Officer, Rodrigo Balderrama, marking a milestone in a professional alliance that began in 2017, and which has meant a series of energy efficiency projects in alliance with public and private institutions. Thus, they have jointly implemented energy solutions for high complexity hospitals in Los Angeles and Copiapó, together with the Energy Sustainability Agency, and a system for measuring and monitoring energy efficiency and emissions reduction with BlockChain, the first of its kind in Latin America.
