The subsidiary is part of a group of more than 130 businesses and financial institutions that have joined to the “It’s now for nature” campaign, led by Business for Nature, through which they urge world leaders to accelerate robust policies for nature and The Biodiversity Plan.
Ahead of the upcoming COP16, to be held October 21-November 1 in Colombia, the initiative urges governments to strengthen policies, incentives, legislation and regulation, essential to foster an effective corporate action for nature.
Charles Kimber, ARAUCO’s VP of Human Resources and Sustainability, called on all sectors to adhere to this commitment, which is vital for biodiversity and sustainability. “At ARAUCO we understand that coordinated and effective action at the local, regional and global levels is essential to address these challenges,” he said.
