ARAUCO planted 138 million trees in 2025
The subsidiary planted trees in Chile, Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay as part of its work on biodiversity and climate action.
To mark World Tree Day, commemorated on June 28, the company highlighted the role forests play in environmental balance. Their capacity to capture CO₂, regulate the climate and protect ecosystems makes them an essential biological infrastructure to address the effects of climate change. They also influence the availability of fresh water, the protection of watersheds, supply for human consumption, erosion prevention, flood control and soil stability.
