ARAUCO promotes innovative technologies to fight forest fires
The subsidiary has recently incorporated real-time satellite monitoring systems, drones equipped with thermal cameras, a fire simulation room and predictive algorithms based on artificial intelligence, which transform its ability to anticipate, manage and respond to emergencie.
ARAUCO’s Forest Business Safety Director, Sebastián Álvarez, emphasized that “with the fire simulation room, for instance, we can visualize how we position resources at the scene of the fire based on drills and represent them graphically in real time.”
This way, ARAUCO positions itself as a leader and key ally in the prevention and combat of emergencies, through new and innovative tools and technologies.
