The Empresas Copec subsidiary was the only Chilean and Latin American company to be acknowledged in the global sustainability ranking compiled by Corporate Knights.

ARAUCO was valued for its leadership in carbon neutrality, its responsible forest management and its strong ESG indicators. In 2023, it planted more than 131 million trees in Chile, Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay, and achieved 50.9% of sustainable revenues and 7.8% of investment aligned with ESG criteria, which allowed it to rank 25th on the list, headed by Dutch Accell and which also features companies such as Bosch, Ikea and Lego.

The study considered variables such as energy and carbon efficiency, water and waste management, diversity in governance, payment of taxes and occupational safety, as well as income and investments linked to sustainable activities.

This recognition reinforces ARAUCO’s commitment to a strategy that seeks to generate a positive impact for future generations.
