ARAUCO’s MAPA is ready to start operations
Through an Relevant Fact, Empresas Copec announced that its subsidiary ARAUCO began feeding or loading wood chips into the Line 3 digester of the MAPA project, thus officially starting its pulp production process.

MAPA is the Company’s most important investment in its history, and involves the construction and operation of a new production line of 1,560,000 tons of bleached eucalyptus pulp per year. Thus, in addition to what the Arauco mill currently generates in pine pulp, it will reach a total capacity of approximately 2,100,000 tons per year.
