The subsidiary was honored with the “Innovation in Public Service” award in the 11th version of the C³ Creativity and Innovation Ranking, by Brinca, Fundación Chile and Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez Business School. The recognition responds to its development of electro-terminals, that supply 100% renewable energy to more than a thousand electric buses in the country.
Since 2020, the company has implemented 15 electro-terminals -12 in the Metropolitan Region and three in other regions-, promoting a more comfortable and cleaner travel experience, with services such as air conditioning, Wi-Fi and less noise pollution. This infrastructure is key in the energy transition of the national public transport system.
“Awards like this remind us that our work has a greater purpose: to be at the service of Chile and its people. Innovation only makes sense when it is oriented towards the common good and contributes to the country’s development,” said Leonardo Ljubetic, Copec’s Chief Development Officer.
