The initiative, which rewards research and development (R&D) projects aimed at changing the future of natural resources or energy, is aimed at higher education students throughout Chile—including universities, professional institutes, and technical training centers—as well as master’s and doctoral program students.

Applications must be submitted in teams of up to five members, through a video pitch of no more than three minutes, explaining the proposal in a clear and creative way.

In the first phase, the 10 best videos will be selected, and the winners will be able to participate in a workshop to strengthen their pitch, in addition to receiving $500,000. The second stage involves choosing the winning team, which will receive a prize of $5,000,000.

At the same time, the Foundation has opened the call for proposals for projects or research in poster format for the 21st International Seminar “Food of the Future,” to be held on October 7th, at the UC Anacleto Angelini Innovation Center. The invitation is open to initiatives that seek to transform the way food is produced, accessed, or consumed. Applications are open until Thursday, September 11, 2025, and can be submitted here.
