Brian Walsh, in charge of Copec’s investment arm, is part of the Powerlist 2024 by Global Corporate Venturing (GVC), an entity that brings together the main corporate venture capital firms in the world, and acknowledges the work of the 100 most influential leaders in the industry.

A list that highlights the executive for his approach and structure of entrepreneurship, for the number and quality of the companies in the portfolio he leads and for his contributions to corporate entrepreneurship. In this sense, Wind Ventures, based in San Francisco, USA, has invested around US$160 million in 25 startups.

“The team grew and last year we closed 10 transactions, when many investors were walking away from the market. Our thesis is that if you wait for the good times to come back, it’s probably too late,” said Brian Walsh, Wind Ventures director.
