Abastible’s subsidiary was acknowledged by the Guayaquil Chamber of Commerce with the Mention of Merit for Corporate Social Responsibility.
The distinction, received as part of the celebration of the Chamber’s 135th anniversary, highlighted the company’s contribution to the economic, social and environmental development of Ecuador, and its ongoing commitment to sustainable practices that contribute to the country’s growth.
“Sustainability is part of the core of our company’s decision making. We are aware of all the value we can generate for society and of the responsibility we have in this regard (…) We are convinced that the only way to generate value is when several companies get together and start doing things co-creatively. This is the only way to create a path of prosperity for future generations,” said Erick Bano, Sustainability and Corporate Affairs Manager at Duragas.
