In line with moving towards a sustainable future, the new agreement with the global clean energy company will provide more than 8 TWh to the subsidiary Copec. This will be carried out through a night-time sales contract for a period of 15 years, providing greater flexibility and stability to the electricity supply.
In this way, EMOAC strengthens its position as a leader in the storage market, a fundamental pillar for the energy transition and the decarbonization of the national electricity system.
“Storage systems play a crucial role in today’s energy landscape, as they make it possible to capture this energy and inject it at night, thus accelerating the energy transition to a renewable future,” said Vania Toro, General Manager of EMOAC Copec.
