ICARE Board of Directors, in a unanimous decision, elected the executive as Chairman of the entity, as of July 20, replacing Claudio Muñoz.

Lorenzo Gazmuri is an Electrical Civil Engineer graduated from the University of Chile who started his career at Phillips International. Later, he joined Copec as Commercial Planning Assistant Manager to subsequently become Marketing Assistant Manager. In 1993 he was appointed Sales Manager and in 2009 he took the reins as CEO of the subsidiary. In 2017, he was appointed Executive Vice President of Copec, a role he is currently performing. In addition, he is a member of the board of directors of Sonacol, SIAV and President of ICARE Circulo de Marketing.

“ICARE will continue to deepen its status as a meeting point for the Chilean society, especially at times like today, which require dialogue, understanding and unity of purpose to overcome the challenges facing the country,” said Lorenzo Gazmuri after his appointment.
