San José jack mackerel fillets and Flips chips were chosen by consumers as “Product of the Year 2026” in Chile, in the 2026 edition of POY (Product Of The Year), an award that recognizes innovation in mass consumer goods and services.

In its ninth edition in Chile, the initiative awarded 36 products, mainly in the food, personal care, and home categories, following an evaluation process that considers criteria such as perceived innovation, appeal, and purchase intent.

To determine the winners, the finalists are evaluated by more than 2,300 consumers through an online survey. In the 2026 edition, the selected proposals were also reviewed by the Chilean Product of the Year Expert Committee, which analyzed each nomination.

Florencia Barúa, Chief Marketing Officer at Nutrisco, said that “being awarded Product of the Year for our San José jack mackerel fillets and our Flip chips validates, from the consumers’ perspective, our capacity to innovate and put them at the center of product development.”
