In line with its sustainability strategy, Copec’s subsidiary unveiled the progress of its ambitious plan to eliminate waste generation by 2029.
In the last period alone, the company managed 472 tons of organic waste, 1,575 tons of used oil, and 2,166 tons of recycled materials in its 488 stores nationwide.
These figures are the result of a set of initiatives that include operational partnerships, food donations, and improvements in logistical efficiency. “Sustainability guides every stage of our operation and steers our decisions,” said María José López, Chief of Strategic Growth and Sustainability at Pronto Copec, reaffirming the brand’s commitment to a responsible and circular business model.
The company will continue to strengthen its infrastructure and processes to achieve its “Zero Waste” goal by 2029, consolidating its role as one of the leading players in environmental innovation within the convenience retail sector in Chile.
