Pronto Copec moves closer to its Zero Waste goal with new partnership

On National Reuse Day, the subsidiary signed a partnership with Coca-Cola Chile to pilot the use of returnable glass bottles in food combo packs as part of its roadmap toward a zero-waste operation by 2029.

The initiative began at the Pedro Fontova service station in Huechuraba. This store has implemented several sustainable consumption practices, such as oil recycling, recyclables management, the use of compostable containers, incentives for reusable cups, and mobile recycling points.

Since 2021, Pronto Copec has recovered more than 2,243 tons of recyclable and organic waste and transformed 400 tons of food waste in partnership with Food for Future. In addition, it has benefited more than 117,000 people thanks to its partnership with Red de Alimentos, valued at 1,800 tons of cardboard, metal, and plastic with guaranteed traceability, and has recycled more than 1,400 tons of used cooking oil, among other initiatives.

As a result of these efforts, the company was honored in 2024 with the Circular Territory Award and in 2025 with first place in the Zero Waste Awards, consolidating its leadership in circular economy.
