Considered as one of the investment initiatives prioritized in the Industrial Strengthening Plan for the Biobío Region, led by the Ministry of Economy, the wind farm will be located in the coastal area of the municipality of Arauco, among forestry land owned by the subsidiary and which enjoys exceptional wind conditions.
The project involves an investment of US$300 million to install 43 wind turbines, which could contribute 200 megawatts to the national electricity system, equivalent to the consumption of 540,000 homes.
