Terpel moves forward with its commitment to energy transition
The Copec subsidiary took a new step in its strategy after approving the merger with Parque Solar Planeta Rica S.A.S., a transaction that strengthens the diversification of its portfolio and its commitment to reducing emissions and developing renewable energy in Colombia.
With this integration, the company adds to its operations a photovoltaic project of more than 26 MWp located in the department of Córdoba, with the capacity to generate over 45,000 MWh per year, enough energy to supply more than 23,000 homes. The initiative allows to expand renewable generation and strengthen the contribution to the national energy supply.
This milestone is part of Terpel’s vision to consolidate its position as a key player in Colombia’s energy transition through a comprehensive energy efficiency offering that includes sustainable mobility, solar photovoltaic generation, and energy marketing.
