Since its beginning, this program has set up more than 140 school libraries, fully equipped with books and furniture, benefiting thousands of students and teachers. In addition, 25 reading spaces have been opened in different communities, offering comfortable and welcoming locations for children and young people to enter the world of reading.
The project has also promoted initiatives that facilitate access to books at affordable prices, with more than 5 million copies sold, allowing a greater number of people to acquire literary works that enrich their imagination and knowledge. In addition, the digital platform vivaleercopec.cl offers free interactive stories, so that more children can enjoy innovative reading experiences.
Gloria Ledermann, Copec’s Marketing Manager, highlighted that “Viva Leer Copec is a clear demonstration of our commitment to the comprehensive development of people and communities. At Copec, our purpose is to empower the mobility of people, companies and the country, and we firmly believe that reading is a powerful mobilizing force. Reading opens minds, inspires dreams and creates opportunities.”
