Arauco Educational Foundation celebrates 35 years contributing to the country’s development

The organization, founded in 1989 in Arauco, has had presence in the regions of Maule, Ñuble, Biobío and Los Ríos, promoting the development of their communities through education.

Manuel Bezanilla, president of the board of directors of Arauco Educational Foundation, highlighted that, over these years, they have become “a bridge to help close educational gaps in rural areas that face significant challenges in the education of thousands of children and young people.”

In these more than three decades, the foundation has focused on strengthening and improving learning processes in public education. To this end, it has carried out professional development and educational improvement programs with teachers and community leaders, as well as with local management teams, school administrators and education authorities, in order to achieve better educational results for their students and enhance the capabilities of local players.

Thus, during these 35 years, the foundation has had a positive impact on 500 educational institutions, benefiting more than 120,000 students. In addition, it has created links with more than 48 civil society organizations, universities and state agencies, as well as participating in several academic researches and studies.
