Arauco highlights the role of forests to address climate challenges at COP30

The forestry subsidiary participated in COP30, held in Belém do Pará, Brazil, where it shared its vision on how to reconcile development and biodiversity protection, reinforcing the value of Nature-Based Solutions in climate action.

ARAUCO has been a pioneer in carbon neutrality without resorting to external offsets and in adopting the Nature Positive standard in Latin America, developments that are part of its sustainable management model. Additionally, there are initiatives aimed at strengthening the resilience of territories, such as the development of species adapted to water and heat stress, the use of cutting-edge environmental monitoring tools, and reinforced fire prevention and fighting systems.

Its presence at the summit helped strengthen international partnerships and highlight the contribution of forests as a cornerstone of bioeconomy and natural capital. The company emphasized that producing from nature, with innovation and regeneration criteria, is key to moving from long-term climate commitments to action.
