ARAUCO provides 363 families in Curanilahue with a home of their own

After the completion of the second stage of Portal de Curanilahue, a real estate project managed by the subsidiary together with the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development, the Municipality of Curanilahue and housing committees, 363 families will fulfill the dream of owning their own home..

This project, designed by Elemental, an architectural office affiliated with the Copec subsidiary, includes properties that can be expanded up to 93 m2, with green areas, a bicycle path, social centers, a multi-purpose court, recycling facilities, and play and recreation areas.

Carlos Montes, Minister of Housing and Urban Development, highlighted this milestone, recalling the current needs in this field in the country: “We must join forces and ensure that there is more land, more houses and a better life,” emphasizing public-private collaboration.

Pablo Pelen, ARAUCO’s Deputy Manager of Public Affairs, said, “this is the largest housing project in the province of Arauco. We also have other initiatives in different cities, where we are also working with local municipalities and the Regional Government, making ourselves available to contribute to the problem of the housing deficit, a cause to which we are committed.”

For more than 10 years, ARAUCO has been promoting a Housing Program, which aims to promote the construction of high-standard housing in the areas where the company has presence.
