Copec-UC Foundation addressed the future of food at international seminar

The meeting, held annually by the Copec-UC Foundation, gathered global leaders in biotechnology, nutrition, and social innovation.

“The problem requires the convergence of multiple players (…) It is not just a question of producing more, but of producing better, with less waste, a smaller environmental footprint, and greater nutritional value,” said Roberto Angelini, president of the Copec-UC Foundation, at the opening of the event.

During the day, cutting-edge experiences were showcased such as those of Lisa Dyson (Air Protein), Katie Stebbins (Tufts), Ady Beitler (Nilus), and Aline Mor (Nestlé).

Also participating were Mariane Krause, acting rector at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, who highlighted the role of academia in generating applied knowledge, and Alan Farcas, executive director of the Copec-UC Foundation, who noted that “this seminar allows us to bring together key players from Chile and around the world to reflect, share experiences, and, above all, promote solutions that contribute to a more fair, resilient, and sustainable food system.”

The event included a display of national developments that are already making an impact on the local ecosystem.
