The Company is again recognized for its environmental, social and governance management being selected, for the first time, to be part of this annual report, which measures sustainability performance of more than 7,000 companies around the world with the greatest market capitalization from 61 industries

In order to be listed in the Yearbook, companies must score within the top 15% of their industry and must achieve a score within 30% of their industry’s top-performing company.

The 2021 selection was based on a record 7,032 companies analyzed in the S&P Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA), which is the basis for the S&P Global ESG Score.

This year, 63 Latin American companies were recognized, an important progress compared to 2020, when 20 firms from the Region were included in the report.

In addition to being recognized by this study as one of the most sustainable companies globally, Empresas Copec was distinguished with the status of “Industry Mover” (“Industry Engine”) for showing the greatest progress in its industry compared to the previous year.
