Empresas Copec’s chairman was named “Cavaliere del Lavoro 2025”, one of the highest honors awarded by the Italian Republic to figures in the business world. The recognition was conferred by Italian President, Sergio Mattarella, to a select group of 25 businessmen who have stood out for their achievements, impeccable conduct and contribution to economic and social development.

It is worth noting that Roberto Angelini was the only foreign resident awarded this year, underlining the exceptional nature of his business contribution and his enduring ties with Italy. In addition, he will receive the award 20 years after his uncle Anacleto Angelini received it.

In this regard, the Italian Ambassador to Chile, Valeria Biagiotti, said: “His vision, his ethics and his ability to create value in a sustainable way represent a valuable example. This recognition also reflects the deep ties that Roberto Angelini has been able to maintain with Italy, demonstrated in a constant collaboration. His appointment is a source of pride and further strengthens the economic and cultural bridge between Italy, Chile and the realities in which the Angelini Group operates.”

Meanwhile, Roberto Angelini commented: “This recognition has a deep meaning for me and my family. I receive it with deep emotion as it comes from Italy, where my deepest roots are. At the same time, for recognizing the commitment that, for so long, we have maintained with Chile and its responsible and sustainable development. All this, through a way of doing business guided by ethics. I would like to share this achievement with the collaborators of our companies, with whom we work every day with the conviction of continuing to shape a better world for future generations. I am grateful for this important distinction, which I hope not only recognizes a trajectory, but also fosters us to continue creating value from our roles.”

The official award ceremony for the new “Cavalieri del Lavoro 2025” will take place in October at an event at the Quirinale Palace, the seat of the Presidency of the Italian Republic, in Rome.
