The subsidiary chose the Edelmira Vergara Quiñones school in Arauco, in the Biobío Region, to carry out a knowledge and vocational proposals exchange day between the mentors of the Inspiring Girls Foundation and 7th and 8th grade students of the school.
The company helped to promote competencies in the areas of science, technology, engineering and mathematics, also known as STEM skills, with the aim of strengthening the educational process, encouraging curiosity for new subjects and providing useful skills for the future.
ARAUCO’s Head of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Articulation, Katherine Urra, emphasized that this type of initiative “is crucial to ensure that the next generation of women will have the competencies and skills necessary to face the challenges of the future.”
