Copec consolidates its leadership in electromobility with fast-charging network in all regions of Chile

With the recent implementation of a 120 kW charger in Arica, Copec completed the deployment of its fast-charging public network in the 16 regions of the country, thereby reaching a new milestone in its commitment to electric mobility.

Developed by Copec Voltex, the charging point became the furthest north in Chile, as it is installed 22 kilometers from the border with Peru.

Since the launch of its first public charger in 2012, the company has led the development of infrastructure for electromobility. It currently has the longest continuous electric route in South America -over 2,200 kilometers between Copiapó and Castro- and the world’s southernmost charging point in Punta Arenas. In addition, it energizes more than 50% of the urban electric public transport in Chile.

This step forward is part of Copec’s 90-year history and reflects its commitment to cleaner, more connected and accessible mobility. In this regard, Francis David, Copec Voltex’s commercial manager, said: “Not only do we close our network’s presence in all regions of the country, but we also reinforce the goal of democratizing access to electromobility.”
