Orizon Seafood launches biodegradable containers
The subsidiary became the first company in the jack mackerel industry to market products through these planet-friendly containers, which take a maximum of 20 months to degrade, versus 400 months for a conventional plastic container.
This new packaging for frozen fillets is certified by Dictuc, Universidad Católica de Chile’s Scientific and Technological Research Department, and will be available in Chilean supermarket chains, as well as in other distribution centers.
This way, Orizon strengthens its commitment to lead sustainable nutrition from the sea.
