Orizon to strengthen the efficiency and sustainability of its Coquimbo plant with new infrastructure works

The subsidiary is making progress on a project involving an investment of US$2.1 million, which aims to modernize the equipment of its boiler area to enable and replace two specific units, which will be modified to run on liquified gas, eliminating the use of coal as fuel.

Pamela Bórquez, Orizon Seafood’s Integrated Management and Quality Manager, pointed out that this initiative not only seeks to optimize the operational efficiency of the complex, but is also aligned with the company’s commitment to sustainability.

The Orizon plant in Coquimbo is a facility dedicated to the processing of hydrobiological resources, where fishmeal and fish oil are produced from sardines and anchovies, with an operating capacity of 50 tons per hour.
