The subsidiary announced the investment in Optibus, a comprehensive platform that plans and operates public transportation systems to make them more efficient and sustainable. This initiative is in line with Copec’s goal of moving forward in the energy transition, as part of its commitments to promote the replacement of polluting fuels and care for the environment.

The software helps to improve bus services and the efficiency of the public transport network, through a solution driven by artificial intelligence and optimization algorithms available in a cloud. Today, it has presence in 5,000 points globally, including the Metropolitan Region, one of the first locations in Latin America to implement it.
