Copec’s new electro-terminal begins operations and will energize half of Santiago’s electric buses
In the presence of the Minister of Transport and Telecommunications, Juan Carlos Muñoz, the subsidiary inaugurated a new electro-terminal, which will be part of the metropolitan public transport system (RED).
This milestone completes the installation of 11 electrical terminals designed, built and operated by Copec Voltex since 2020, thus consolidating a public-private partnership that contributes to the renovation of the system’s buses, with a positive impact on the environment and the communities.
Arturo Natho, general manager of Copec, said: “We want to promote sustainable mobility and also contribute to people’s quality of life by reducing air and noise pollution indexes.”
