After an evaluation that considered the review of more than 9,400 companies worldwide, from 62 industries, Standard & Poor’s (S&P) confirmed the incorporation of Empresas Copec in the sustainability yearbook. This is due to the good results achieved in the Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA), carried out last year by the agency.
Likewise, the Company was awarded the “Industry Mover” recognition, which applies to those firms that have achieved the highest scores in the S&P Global CSA, compared to previous evaluations, as well as the most relevant improvements in their own industry sector.
“This recognition is based on a rigorous assessment of our strategy, governance, management and tangible progress in sustainability. We value this milestone because it reflects the integration of sustainable management in all our decisions and operations, being a relevant drive to continue planning for the future based on this commitment,” said Marianne Haramoto, Director of Sustainability and Corporate Affairs at Empresas Copec.
For this year, S&P only considered 759 companies, globally, as part of this prestigious yearbook.
