The Company was recognized among the 100 leading companies in Chile in sustainability by the MERCO ESG 2022 responsibility monitor, leading the Corporate Holding category, and climbing from third place.

Overall, Empresas Copec ranked 19th among all the companies evaluated, up 42 places compared to the previous version, for its concrete progress in environmental, social, ethical and governance issues.

In the sub-rankings for each of the ESG variables evaluated, the Company ranked among the 15 most environmentally responsible companies; in 25th place for internal, business and society; and in 19th place for ethics and governance.

Among the subsidiaries that stood out within the 100 most responsible companies in the latest version of Merco ESG were Copec (14), Abastible (49) and ARAUCO (90). Copec led the Energy and Distribution category.

The report, whose results are verified by KPMG, was based on the analysis of 33,563 surveys to stakeholders and 24 sources of information.
